Richard is a senior strategic communications and investor relations consultant with over 20 years’ experience leading IR, corporate affairs, and financial communications teams for a major Swiss pharmaceutical company. A chemistry graduate from the University of Leeds, he began his career in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and drug development before moving into equity research covering European pharma. He then moved in-house to Novartis, holding senior IR and corporate affairs roles in Switzerland, the US, and the UK, where he led communications on earnings, transactions, and reputation topics at the global HQ. He has served as a Director of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, and is a Trustee Director of a UK pension fund. Based in Basel, Richard enjoys time in the Swiss Alps with his wife and two adult children.
